Bringing 28 years of drilling experience, solar innovation, and rural water infrastructure execution to similar terrains across Malawi, Rwanda, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Rural water infrastructure projects often struggle when faced with unpredictable, punishing topographies. At GVR, we don’t just understand these challenging terrains on paper—we have spent nearly three decades working in them.
For 28 years, we have been a trusted water contractor across the Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district in Telangana, India. We have built our reputation on successfully navigating and tapping water in difficult geohydrological conditions:
Navigating steep, forested valley terrains and high-elevation remote settlements.
Drilling through the notorious, dense, and deeply layered hard-rock strata of the Kerameri Ghats.
Engineering dependable rural water networks in areas heavily isolated from grid power.
The deep underground rock formations, severe wet-and-dry weather cycles, and remote rural conditions in Malawi and Rwanda are similar to the environments we have worked in for 28 years. If our machinery and teams can yield water in the hard-rock terrains of Asifabad, they are well equipped to work in similar terrain in Africa.
We deliver fully integrated, climate-resilient water infrastructure designed to solve last-mile distribution issues in developing regions:
Specialized, heavy-duty rigs built to penetrate dense rock strata, coupled with a geologist survey to choose the best drilling point for agricultural and household use.
Designing and deploying durable solar pump arrays. This completely bypasses erratic local power grids, removing electricity bill burdens from remote rural communities and smallholder farms.
Building high-capacity, durable overhead water reservoirs to secure steady pressure and safe, gravity-fed storage for entire village zones.
Undertaking extensive civil contracting to lay distribution pipelines that connect main water sources directly into individual homes, clinics, schools, and farmlands.
A water project is only successful if it remains operational long after construction is complete. GVR’s engineering strategy emphasizes low running costs. By combining sound drilling practices with smart solar networks, we cut power bills and reduce maintenance needs, so rural water infrastructure keeps running for years.
Put 28 years of specialized hard-rock water engineering to work. Whether the goal is to deploy a series of solar agricultural wells or scale up an entire village water supply infrastructure, GVR has the machinery and experience to deliver in similar terrains abroad.

Countries of interest: Malawi · Rwanda. Open to others with similar needs.
Groundwater changes over short distances, so every borehole starts with a hydrogeological survey by a qualified local or partner geologist.
We work with local companies, NGOs and water authorities, and follow each country’s registration rules.
Dated photos, borehole details (depth, yield) and a handover report for every site.
